As Summit dodgeball grows, we’ve introduced standardized Skill Ratings to help build balanced teams and fairly evaluate Guest Stars so our games stay fun, competitive and welcoming for everyone.
Skill Ratings are not meant to define players or reduce anyone to a number. They’re simply a tool that helps organize teams so players of different experience levels can compete together in a way that keeps games enjoyable.
Our community includes both brand-new players and experienced veterans. Skill Ratings help bring everyone onto the same court while maintaining fair and exciting games.
Skill Ratings support several parts of how Summit dodgeball operates:
Players receive a rating based on several aspects of gameplay such as strategy, throwing, catching, and survival.
The final Skill Rating reflects a player’s overall dodgeball ability across Summit dodgeball formats and is rounded to the nearest point.
Because the system uses a single rating per player, it represents a player’s general skill level rather than format-specific differences between No-Sting and Foam.

Skill Ratings are visible to:
Individual committee scores are not visible — only the final combined rating.
Players improve and develop over time. If you believe your rating should be reviewed, please click the button below "Re-rating Request" and fill out the appropriate form.
Please know that we will aim to do league-wide ratings every two seasons.
This system is new and we welcome constructive feedback from our community as we continue refining it. You can submit via our Feedback Form below.
