Summit Sports League (SSL) is an inclusive non-profit organization dedicated to creating a welcoming and socially rewarding atmosphere for everyone, regardless of orientation, gender identity, or athletic ability. Our mission is to foster growth and empowerment through recreational sports and social opportunities, enhancing the greater Denver community we serve.
Participation in Summit Sports League events and activities requires that all players, volunteers, and managers agree to our code of conduct. Any individual found in violation of this code risks temporary or permanent expulsion from league play or events.
All code of conduct violations are referred to Summit Sports League’s management for review, and disciplinary action will be taken if necessary. League management and referees maintain the right to temporarily or permanently eject any player creating a dangerous or hostile environment or violating this code of conduct.
Summit Sports League’s core goal is to nurture a supportive and welcoming community for everyone, regardless of their skill level or background. To that end:
Participants will show respect to their peers at all Summit-sponsored or organized events, including sports leagues and socials. The use of abusive, hostile, derogatory, or otherwise malicious language when interacting with participants, volunteers, or league officials is strictly prohibited. Violence of any kind is not tolerated.
Participants are expected to conduct themselves with integrity, abide by the Summit Sports League rules of play, and are responsible for adhering to all sports rules, even in cases when not called by an official. Additionally, participants should refrain from arguing about calls with game officials. We encourage all participants to fill out a feedback form if they have suggestions or concerns.
Participants are also expected to be good stewards of this community. Treat others with respect; everyone is here to play and enjoy themselves. Please clean up shared spaces; community gyms provide us the facilities to play, so make sure all trash is taken care of when leaving. Participants must actively avoid and report unsafe or dangerous behavior to team captains or league officials. Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations is required.
Alcohol use during Summit Sports League sanctioned or organized sporting events and socials will be determined by the facility policy and event-specific rules. Drug use is explicitly prohibited. Celebrate responsibly, and remember that any incident should be documented through an incident report form if necessary.
As part of our commitment to safety, the wellbeing of players is paramount: if at any time you witness or experience abusive behavior or acts of violence, please immediately contact league management or submit an anonymous report using the appropriate forms. Before participating, all individuals must complete the general waiver form and ensure they understand the Summit Sports League waivers, as this is essential for maintaining a safe environment for all involved.
